Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of UzbekNature, a platform devoted to Uzbekistan's natural beauty, wildlife and eco-tourism. By accessing or using our services you agree to these terms. We aim to keep the platform open to exploration while protecting the community and ecosystems as carefully as we protect tugai forests.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use core features. By creating an account you represent that you are competent to form a binding agreement. Some features, such as organized volunteer programs, may require you to be 18 or older and to provide additional information.

2. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify support immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, applicable laws, or that threaten platform integrity.

3. User-generated content and ownership

You retain ownership of photos, trail maps and other content you upload. By posting content you grant UzbekNature a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the service, promoting conservation efforts and enabling community features. You confirm you have the rights to share the content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

4. Prohibited activities

  • Posting content that harms wildlife, locations or encourages illegal access to protected areas.
  • Spreading environmental misinformation or fabricated conservation claims.
  • Uploading content that infringes copyright, contains explicit material, hate speech or illegal activity.
  • Using the platform to harass, threaten or impersonate others.

5. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the platform, its design, software and branding belong to UzbekNature or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works from the site content except as expressly permitted by these Terms or with prior written consent.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform and content are provided "as is" for informational and community purposes. We do not guarantee route accuracy or safety; follow local regulations and exercise caution in the field. To the maximum extent permitted by law, UzbekNature is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to 100 USD or any lower amount required by applicable law.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for legal reasons. Users may close their accounts via account settings or by contacting support. Upon termination, license rights granted by users survive as needed to preserve backups and legal obligations.

8. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uzbekistan. Parties will first seek to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiations and may use mediation before initiating litigation.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the law, platform features or our practices. We will provide notice of material changes and obtain consent where required. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
